Now there's stuff I haven't heard in many decades! I remember Shep reading commercials for Volvo- before he got onto his Rover 2000 TC kick- and in every one he would slip in, "I drove one for years, until it started to drive me....." Volvo must have loved him!
SpaceCat, here's a trivia question for you. Shepherd had a running joke about the meaning of TC in Rover 2000TC. He would mention that listeners were writing in asking what the TC stood for. He usually dismissed them with remarks like, "It's too obscene to say" or "I can't repeat it over the air." However, on at least one occasion he did reveal the answer. Can you recall what it is?
